An unmistakable voice with a knack for “drifter poetry”, Texan raised, LA based Ryan Bingham is an Academy Award Winner, Grammy Award Winner and Golden Globe Award winner for his title track “The Weary Kind” from the acclaimed film “Crazy Heart”. His track “Until I’m With You” can currently be heard on our TV’s as the opening title song to the drama series “The Bridge” starring Diane Kruger.

Bingham’s fourth studio album “Tomorrowland” (out soon in Australia through Lost Highway) sees the artist embark on a new adventure with a new band.

Bingham says “Definitely it’s a record that comes across live. That last record (Junky Star) was a very dark album for me, you know, very acoustic… I just wanted it to be a lot of fun playing the songs live on the road… that was very much the joy: turning it up live and playing the electric guitar. That was kind of the basic mentality I had going into it.”

Joining Bingham will be Harry Hookey and Tim Wheatley.

Melbourne’s Harry Hookey was winner of the 2012 US based International Songwriter’s Competition. He has played countless live shows here and in the US including tours with Tim Rogers, Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson, CMC Rocks The Hunter and the Americana Music Festival. Hookey’s debut album “Misdiagnosed” is currently out on Essence Music / Warner Music Australia.

Currently garnering strong radio airplay in the US where he is now based, Australian singer songwriter Tim Wheatley has recently remixed his debut “Crooked Saint” EP with producer Niko Bolas (Neil Young, Johnny Cash) at the famous Capitol Studios in Hollywood. The EP was produced by ARIA award winner Paul McKercher and is available now through Ironbark / Universal.
