Jason Isbell, along with his stellar band The 400 Unit, will return to Australia in March and April 2016 to play dates in Melbourne, Bendigo, Sydney and Bluesfest in Byron Bay.

Released in July, his incredible new album Something More Than Free, has simply reinforced what a formidable and respected songwriter Isbell is.

Recorded with producer David Cobb, who was also at the helm of the 2014 award winning album Southeastern, Something More Than Free debuted at #1 on three Billboard charts – Top Rock Album, Country Album & Folk Albums – it has set airplay records around the globe and has critics raving. Rollingstone Magazine being one: “Jason Isbell is arguably the most revered roots-rock singer-songwriter of his generation.” The Music another: “Alt-country? Americana? Whatever, he’s made another utterly towering record.” And it’s hard to argue.

Isbell, who has toured Australia in the past with Ryan Adams and Justin Townes Earle plus his own headlining tour in 2014, is currently on tour in the United States and recently played four straight sold out shows at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium which serves as a true testament that he has indeed arrived.
