BOOGIE

BOOGIE is back. And how.

A year after it became one of the first music festivals on the planet to come back during Covid, the much-loved festival will be back again this Easter. Coming to its regular location -  Our Friend’s Farm, on the lands of the Taungurung, in Tallarook, just one hour north of Melbourne up the Hume Highway – Boogie 15 presents an absolutely incredible line-up of local and international artists.

Coming from the USA are two groups we were going to present in our ill-fated 2020 efforts, Endless Boogie and Howlin’ Rain, who shall both rain guitars and passion over a willing audience. Endless Boogie are local faves – 3RRR named their latest album Album of the Week last June– but Howlin’ Rain have never toured here before, although some will remember mainman Ethan Miller setting the night on fire with his old band Comets on Fire at Golden Plains some years back. Endless Boogie and Howlin’ Rain will both blow minds.

In terms of local produce, PondAugie March and rampant risers Tropical Fuck Storm will represent the upper echelons of home grown music, while the legendary Hard-Ons – playing one of their first gigs with new singer Tim Rogers - will tears your heads off while showing you that even middle-aged men can looks great if they have enough tattoos.

And then there’s the usual up & comers – Boogie prides itself on being there first (hey, we gave you King GizzardAmyl & The Sniffers and Grace Cummings before anyone else did!)  - and ALL of them are great too. Bad BangsAlex HamiltonMindy Meng WangQuality Used CarsRot TV and The Skips from the great state of Victoria, and interstate visitors Jack Davies & The Bush ChooksCaitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys and Mylee Grace - all making their first Boogie appearances.

Over the next weeks we will reveal more exciting and colourful acts and happenings to fully complete the Boogie experience. Stay tuned!
