JEFF THE BROTHERHOOD 2013

JEFF THE BROTHERHOOD: Jake (guitars, vocals) and Jamin Orrall (drums) are at the forefront of Nashville’s exploding indie rock scene.

The duo have grabbed headlines from all corners of the world for their high energy live events, memorable melodic songs, output and their relentless work ethic. The’ve clocked in over 400 shows in the past two years alone and have shared bills with Best Coast, Fucked Up, Pentagram, The Kills, The Greenhornes and more. If that’s not enough, these voracious music lovers own and operate its super cool label, Infinity Cat Recordings named “Nashville’s Best Record Label 2010″ by the Nashville Scene.

With new LP in hand and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys behind the production desk, Hypnotic Nights is an album that uniquely blends elements of indie, punk, garage, and psychedelic rock. The first single, Sixpack is a fuzzed out, sun-drenched sing-a-long, driven by reverb-heavy riffs and propulsive drumbeats. Songs like Leave Me Out and Dark Energy venture into new musical territory for JEFF THE BROTHERHOOD.

JEFF THE BROTHERHOOD believes that less is more, reflected in Jake’s decision to play a guitar with only three strings. Jake explains, “When we started the band, I didn’t know how to play guitar,” he remembers, “I thought, in order to teach myself, it would be easier to play if I simplified it. I started with two strings, but you can’t really play any chords that way, so I added a third string [which added] this interesting limitation that forced me to create my own style and approach to the instrument.”

Since appearing at Meredith Music Festival in 2010 and blowing people away with their tiny club shows, fans are dead keen for JEFF THE BROTHERHOOD’s return.
Already announced for Big Day Outs nationally, LOVE POLICE TOURING is happy to tell you about another string of live Australian dates.
