JAMESTOWN REVIVAL 2015

At the heart of Jamestown Revival is a friendship that spans over a decade.

Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance grew up together in the small Texas town of Magnolia. From a young age, they shared a love for music as well as the outdoors.

At the age of 22, they moved to Austin and began to craft a sound of their own. Deeply rooted in harmony, they merged the sounds of the South with classic American and Western rock. Looking for adventure, as well as a change of pace, they eventually made the decision to head west and make the move to Los Angeles, CA. Throughout the course of the next 12 months, they wrote what is Jamestown Revival’s first full length album, UTAH. With wild moose right outside the window, and aspen leaves spinning in the wind, they tracked the 11 songs that make up UTAH. Perfomed live, with no headphones, and entirely to tape, the process captured the moments in the room.

2014 was a huge year for the duo, proving they are ones to watch on the Americana scene. They sold out their North American tour, which included festival performances at Coachella, Austin City Limits and Bonnaroo. iTunes named them Best Singer/Songwriter Album of 2014. Their songs were featured on hit US TV shows “Nashville”, “Hart of Dixie” and “Bones” plus they also performed live on “Conan” and “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson”.

Supporting Jamestown Revival in Melbourne are local lads Raised by Eagles who have established themselves at the forefront of Melbourne’s alternative country scene.

They are consistently charming audiences with their blend of Americana, pop, folk and rock, as witnessed at last year’s Out on the Weekend event in Melbourne. The band’s songs remain unaffected by the smoke and mirrors of music in the post-modern era and encapsulate the art of storytelling at its heartfelt finest.

The band’s debut album was nominated for “Best Country Album” at The Age Music Victoria Awards in 2013.

Currently receiving stellar reviews for their first collaborative tune “These Nights” alternative country musician Kris Morris and Central Coast indie-folk singer Sarah Humphreys will join Jamestown Revival in Sydney.

The duo are currently working on their debut album as a duo but are singer/songwriters in their own right. Both Kris & Sarah have recorded solo albums with Kasey Chambers at the helm as producer.

And opening for Jamestown Revival in Sydney is duo Ashleigh Mannix and Justin Carter, otherwise known as Little Georgia.

After touring together for several years as part of different projects, this pair finally launched Little Georgia at Tamworth Country Music Festival this past January to an overwhelming response. The duo took out the Festival’s busking competition in the non-Country category, and have now released their first single “Heartbreak”.
