OUT ON THE WEEKEND

We’ve got pals coming from across the seas and over the borders for our one day only event.

From travelling troubadours to rolling ramblers, we’re gonna have music lovers two steppin’ their way to the Seaworks stage.

All the way from the US of A we welcome back JENNY DON’T AND THE SPURS. The buzz was red hot after their tour last year, let’s keep it warm this October once again.

We have the honour of presenting for their time on Australian soil, Texan schoolteacher-turned-troubadour SUMMER DEAN and from Dan’s Auerbach’s Easy Eye label stable, hot young Kentucky roots ‘n’ blues musician NAT MYERS.

On the local front, celebrating the troubadours and travelling musicians of this country, we have Nar Nar Goon local, PAULINE ‘BONES’ MACKINNON bringing her songs and stories which shimmy between country, rock, and a bit of folk. From the Sunshine Coast hinterland is another great storyteller, our favourite crooner BUD ROKESKY performing tracks from his acclaimed debut album.

Travelling from the other side of river is THE COLLINGWOOD CASANOVAS packing their overnight bags filled with their hot bluegrass picking and sweet harmonies from Melbourne’s beloved hopeless romantics.

And we are beyond excited to introduce the magic of our newest friends from way out Western Australia, THE BURES BAND. Imagine what Tame Impala may have sounded like if they were a country band, that’s these cats.

This group of the finest in country and Americana join ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL, MELISSA CARPER, WILLIE WATSON, THE PINK STONES, CHARLOTTE LE LIEVRE, WATTY THOMPSON and an all-star tribute to LINDA RONSTADT featuring Violet Town country cowgirl ELLA HOOPER, and there’s still more to come!

There are plenty of ways to make your Out On The Weekend journey complete, from coach rides to the Cripple Creek Ferry plus plenty of good food and drink options at the greatest day of the year for us all down by the water.

To expand your experience for OUT ON THE WEEKEND the trip is the journey AND the destination: CRIPPLE CREEK FERRY and TAKE A COACH OUT WEST ticket and travel packages are available now for cowboy hatted revellers.

For the 9th year, Out On The Weekend takes place on Saturday October 14 at the historic maritime haunt of Seaworks in Williamstown, hidden in the deep west of Melbourne. All types of tickets are available now.
