“Wow, it’s been 5 years? Here we go again with another extravaganza down by the water in the awesomely refurbished Seaworks at Williamstown. Welcome to new and old musical friends and legends, plus we have a few surprises down the line. It’s been fifty years since The Byrds with Gram Parsons in the line up gave us the genre creating “Sweetheart Of The Rodeo” so we have to celebrate that. We’re going to step up the food and booze offerings this year to even higher standards and varied options. Hot chicken and vegan food anyone? BBQ, burgers, tacos and more of course. Got some real experience type happenings and exhibition stuff to further enhance the almighty vibe too. We want everyone to know about our special day and we’re gonna say it loud and proud. Come back and join us for the good times.”
– BT, Love Police

Now, please welcome international and local friends to the party. MARGO PRICE and WAGONS are set to headline this shindig. Old timey troubadour hero WILLIE WATSON will belt out his one man band hollers. Emerging Americana star COURTNEY MARIE ANDREWS and her band will win new hearts. The X rated and infamous gal duo of BIRDCLOUD and gonna tear you a new one. Local friends include rockabilly champs THE RECHORDS. Sassy, rising star EMILEE SOUTH will deliver her smooth style. Backed by his band and highlighting his soon to be released new album, DAN PARSONS joins the festivities. Melbourne legends THE CARTRIDGE FAMILY will whoop it up as they do. Young hot shots, GEORGIA STATE LINE will get your feet tappin’. West Australia’s finest DAVEY CRADDOCK and his band are gonna show you how wild the west can really be, and finally hauntingly beautiful THE WEEPING WILLOWS weave their magic in the Williamstown sunshine. We have more special acts and stuff to let you know about down the line, but hey, that’s gotta get you excited.

After adding C.W.STONEKING (solo), JOSHUA HEDLEY and SIERRA FERRELL just a few short weeks ago, we now welcome THE DUSTY MILLERS, ROGER KNOX & EURABA and SWEETHEART OF THE RODEO CELEBRATION to the Out On The Weekend family!

We will be rolling out the other acts and activities for the great day over the next few weeks. Sign up to our festival socials, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM and TWITTER to keep up to date. TICKETS and CRIPPLE CREEK FERRY packages are available right now, right HERE.

See you there!

Tony Joe White cancellation:

It is with great regret we need to advice you that the forthcoming tour by the great Tony Joe White this October has been cancelled, Tony Joe is not a young man, and the years of rockin’ appear to be taking their toll. After a recent show at Nashville’s legendary Ryman, the great man was almost unable to walk after suffering severe pain in his calfs and had to be helped off the stage while in extreme pain. Since then the discovery of a bulging disk in his back has meant an immediate end to future engagements that involve significant travel until physical therapy can hopefully reinstate him to a healthy state for travel.

Tony Joe was to perform at the Out On The Weekend festival, as well as headline shows in Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney. Full refunds for the festival will be available for a week only until midnight on Tuesday, September 11. Ticket holders for all other shows will be contacted by the relevant ticketing agencies and receive a full refund.
